Automotive operations is aggressively monitoring compliance with the newly
released Global Transportation Label Standard (version: December 2014 ver003).
Effective March 1, 2016 operations is authorized to issue corrective
action on non–compliant shipments.
Certification is required for each label type, from each print location, within
each supplier's location using production (real-time) data. Compliant labels
must have all the required data elements, use specified fonts, and include bar
codes meeting the standard's specification that can be scanned successfully at
all points in the supply chain.

Certification fees are determined on a per label type (single carton, master, and mixed load) per occurrence basis. Aalstec is not responsible for costs incurred during shipping. Aalstec will provide a detailed report indicating a "pass" or "fail" grading of your label submissions in the following areas:
- Dimensional/reflective characteristics of symbology and data
- Label format, and symbology syntax
